Welcome to the Gecko Bugalow! This remodeled, stylish, and cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom retreat is ideally located a short distance from downtown with easy access to the beaches. Walk to the Saturday Farmers Market and cook up your market meal inspiration in our chef's kitchen or private patio, or catch a free trolley to Lido Beach. Whether you're here to explore the local restaurants, soak up the Florida sun, or be a digital nomad for a bit, this spot puts you near the center of one of the most beautiful cities on the Gulf.

Our dog-friendly (under 25 lbs only) bungalow is well-suited for those looking for an urban experience with easy access to the beach. You will have the entire original house at your disposal, including:
• Private patio with gas grill, dining area, and lounging areas right off of the kitchen
• Fully equipped chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line pans (All-Clad), knives, plates, and tools, including dishwasher and new Frigidaire appliances
• Bright and airy living area perfect for relaxing after a day out. It also has a comfortable pop up, pull out, double couch for an extra bed.
• Comfortable queen bed with premium linens
• Streaming TVs in both rooms for binge watching your favorite shows (your streaming accounts will be needed)
• Fast Wi-Fi, strong cellular signals, and a dedicated work desk make it ideal for remote work.

We have a small space in the back of the house that we use as an office/studio and storage that is completely separate from the front of the house. You will never see us, unless you need to. We are very sensitive to ensuring privacy as we demand the same when renting Airbnb’s for our own vacations. The only sounds you usually hear include the bubbling fountain by the front door and any city sounds generated by city life. With new impact windows, there isn’t any issue with street noise.

Guests have full access to the brick driveway in front of the home ( it is okay to drive over the small patch of grass to reach it), patios on the Eastern and Western sides of the property. There are wooden gates with locks separating the backyard and small back studio/office to ensure privacy. If you require access to a washer and dryer, we will provide a code for you to one of the gates and you are welcome to use the shared washer and dryer.
